DET AND SLG ?

Reynolds prides itself on developing a lot of technology in-house and conducting their own wind tunnel tests. The results of this hard work can be seen in the wheels marketed by REYNOLDS.

"DET" stands for Dispersive Effect Termination, and like "SLG" (Swirl Lip Generator) is an invention of Reynolds. DET is something quite unique for carbon-shaped rims. The combination of wide 26.2 mm rim and tapered V-shape minimises drag and is told to produce forward acceleration. You read it right - produce forward acceleration....

SLG is available on the AR 41s' U-shaped rims. A 0.9 mm "lip" allows for much smoother airflow over the wheel. Over a distance of 40 kilometres, this can produce 12.5 seconds
